Vineyard Home

This rural Sonoma County vineyard property lost all of its structures in the 2017 Tubbs wildfire, while the oak groves and grassland covering most of property survived.  The residents will have a new home, barn, guest house and pool, all arranged on a ridgetop surrounded by soon-to-be replanted vineyards.  JNRA sited the home, pool and outdoor garden terraces to frame dramatic views.  At the peripheries of the main living and entertaining spaces, walking trails reach out to peaceful overlooks and groves of sculptural mature oaks throughout the property.  Site developments reflect Fire Resilient design principles for living in fire-prone wildland/urban interface (WUI) regions.
