Petaluma River Access & Enhancement

JNRA coordinated a multi-disciplinary Area Plan for a 6.5-mile, 800-acre river corridor through the center of Petaluma, CA. The plan proposes to restore and preserve the river’s natural and cultural resources, create a continuous riverfront greenway with trails and parks, encourage a complementary balance of public and private uses along the river, and create a vibrant commercial/recreational downtown waterfront as a joint public-private undertaking. The River Plan has been incorporated into the City’s General Plan and is successfully guiding private and public developments along the River Corridor.
