Fort Mason

Following preparation of a park Master Plan for the historic 60-acre, Golden Gate National Recreation Area headquarters at Fort Mason in San Francisco, first phase improvements included The Great Meadow and The Community Garden. The framework for the 2.5 acre Community Garden was built from recycled demolition material and located on the site of the historic Fort Mason Post Gardens. Work was designed by John N. Roberts as the project manager at Royston, Hanamoto, Alley & Abey.
